How do I book my event? 

It is very easy all you have to do is call 703-598-4292 or email me at anilasphotography@gmail.com to let me know that you are interested in booking an event with me.  A 50% retainer/booking fee is required to book the date and it is nonrefundable.  The balance is due 2 weeks before the day of your event.  

 

Do I need to sign a contract?

Yes indeed.  A contract would need to be signed and a retainer/booking fee is required to reserve the day and time of your event date.

 

How do I make a payment?

Payments are accepted by all forms of credit cards, cash, money order or cashier's check.  Please make money order out to "Anila Sheikh".  No personal checks are accepted.

 

Are you licensed?

Yes.  I am licensed with the state of Virginia.

 

How much in advance do I need to book you for the event?

The sooner the better.  The date is saved on a first come basis so I suggest that you contact me immediately after deciding on the event date.  

 

What kind of photos will I expect from you?

As you can see from my website I do a lot of candid and posed shots. I love to give a variety of photos to my clients  so you will receive both styles of photography.  

 

How long will it take to get my images/photos?

I will try my best to have all of your images edited and available in about 2-3 weeks.  Also, you will receive a sneak peek of your photos on my Facebook Page  "Anila Sheikh Photography or https://www.facebook.com/anilasphotography".  I am hoping that you would show me your support by LIKING my FB Page..............thanks.  

 

Do you do Retouching?  

Yes, off course.

 

Will all of my images be retouched?

All of the images will be color corrected.  I retouch images that will be used in your event album and prints that are 8x10 or larger.

 

What do you do to retouch images?

With no additional charge I will correct saturation, exposure, clarity, color balance, contrast, sharpening and remove any distortion from all of the images.  I will try to remove all blemishes, whiten teeth, red eye removal and soften lines around eyes on the images that go into the album or prints that are 8x10 or lager.  Retouching is included in all of my event packages.

 

Do you reserve the right to publish the images?

Yes, I do.  Every client signs a release form that is included in the contract.  Any image that you see on my website is a past client of Anila Sheikh Photography and has signed a release form included in the contract or by itself granting me permission to use their images.

 

Will we get a CD/DVD/USB of images?

Yes, you will receive your digital images loaded on a USB flash drive and the digital files will include unlimited personal usage rights.  

 

Do you offer albums?

Yes, I do.  I like to offer albums because it is something that is tangible............you can touch, feel and see everyday of your life.  It is a wonderful memory of your special event that can be revisited whenever you want to.

 

Can I see samples of the albums?

Yes you may.  I keep samples of the products that I offer.

 

How long does the album processing takes?

You will hopefully get the album in 8-12 weeks depending when you order it.

 

Do I get to select the photos for my album?

Yes, you may help me by informing me of the special people's photos that you may want to display in the album.  Basically, I design and pick the best images for your album.

 

How many photos will I expect from my event?

It basically depends on the amount of event coverage that you select.  Unlimited photos will be taken at the event and I will provide you with the best photos that are up to my high standards "usually 40-50 images per coverage hour will be delivered".  For example; 

  • 2 hours of coverage = 80 - 100 photos
  • 3 hours of coverage = 120 - 150 photos
  • 4 hours of coverage = 160 - 200 photos
  • 5 hours of coverage = 200 - 250 photos
  • 6 hours of coverage = 240 - 300 photos
  • 7 hours of coverage = 285 - 350 photos
  • 8 hours of coverage = 320 - 400 photos
  • 9 hours of coverage = 360 - 450 photos
  • 10 hours of coverage = 400 - 500  photos

 

Can you remove something in a package that I don't want?

I am sorry to let you know that I don't offer packages instead I am offering Create Your Own Collection.  By creating your own collection it allows you to customize your collection that works best for you and fits your needs. You may add on to your collection something specific that is a interest to your liking.

 

What kind of equipment do you shoot with?

I love Nikon anything Nikon.  I am a Nikon girl!  All of my lenses and camera bodies are Nikon.

 

Do you bring back up equipment to an event just in case it malfunctions?

Yes absolutely.  I bring along extra camera bodies, lenses, memory cards and batteries.  

 

Do you bring any assistants?

Depends how big the event is.  

 

Are you shooting in digital or film format?

Digital all the time.

 

Do you offer black and white photos?  If so how much would it cost?

Yes, I do and there is no extra charge for them.  I select the photos that I feel that will look great in black and white for example; when there is a lot of emotion in a photo, to make people look more serious and to take away any distractions from the photos.

 

Do you charge extra fee for arriving earlier to an event?

No, I do not charge for arriving early since I don't want to be in a rush and to feel relaxed.  I personally like to be 15 to 30 minutes early for the event.

 

Do you charge for travel?  What other expenses?

Yes, traveling fees will apply for each event that is over 75 miles and is $2.00 a mile around trip.  If the event finishes after midnight than a hotel night is required.  

 

Do you collect sales tax?

I certainly do.  I will collect 6% Virginia state sales tax on all orders and on the full transaction "the total amount of the sale".

 

Will a fee be charged for paying with a credit card?

Yes.  A 3.5% credit card surcharge will be added to a payment made with a credit card.
